Our hotel in Petra, Jordan.

A quiant little hotel with impeccable service in Petra, Jordan, in the Middle East. They kept dinner for us in the dining hall till waaay past 10 pm.

Jordanian Pizza

At the pizza place, Petra Jordan.

After our tour of Petra for the whole morning, we went looking for lunch and of course hoped for authentic Jordanian food. However, the buffet we were taken to looked rather unappetizing. Walking down the street, someone in our group found this pizza place and it was settled: let's eat pizza!

Al Khazneh

The Treasury, Petra, Jordan.

Indiana Jones went inside and found an ancient knight guarding the holy grail. I tried to go in and met with fences and a blank wall. There wasn't anything beyond the impressive facade of the famous Treasury (also known as Al Khazneh) at all. Hmm, hmmmmm! Although it was once believed to hide ancient treasures, it's now decided that it used to be a temple, or a royal tomb.

Photo taken from the window of our tour bus as we were journeying from Petra to the Jordan Valley border, to cross into Israel. The mountainside was peppered with sure-footed mountain goats sunning themselves in the middle of the cool afternoon.
